Tuition and Fees
The rate of tuition will vary depending on whether you are an in-state or out-of-state student:
In-state: $345.78 per credit
Out-of-state: $640.56 per credit
Depending on which program option you choose, the number of credit hours you will need to take will differ. This means that your program cost will differ slightly depending on your program option:
Thesis (30 credits):
In-state: $10,373.40
Out-of-state: $19,216.80
Non-Thesis (36 credits):
In-state: $12,448.08
Out-of-state: $23,060.16
Scholarships
UMES offers and accepts several forms of financial aid for graduate students:
While there are no specific scholarships for the MCCJ program, graduate assistantships are possible for highly-qualified prospects. However, there are a minimal number of fellowships available, and they are often granted to international students. Although the Graduate School and the department will try to assist in providing work-study where possible, the responsibility for financing educational costs rests with the student.
