The rate of tuition will vary depending on whether you are an in-state or out-of-state student:

  • In-state: $233.05 per credit
  • Out-of-state: $606.55 per credit

Scholarships

UMES offers and accepts several forms of financial aid for undergraduate students:

  • All new undergraduate students will receive a grant based on GPA at the time of admission.
  • A minimum 3.00 GPA and a minimum SAT of 1000 are basic qualification for Honors Program consideration, which covers all tuition expenses.
    • Similar qualifications are minimum for the Marriott Foundation scholarship of $5,000 per annum. Graduates from Hospitality-related Magnet High Schools are especially encouraged to apply.
    • Direct industry awards are abundantly available from the sophomore year onwards.
  • Federal loans, PLUS loans, and alternative loans.
